Sustainability Expo
The Expo will feature hundreds of sustainable businesses, with demos of the latest technology going on throughout the day alongside a variety of talks, panels and interviews with sustainability leaders.

Carbon Neutral Race day
Take part in a televised world first, where horseracing meets sustainability. Turn up in style using the electric transportation being put on for the day, enjoy all the best parts of a day at the races and sample the best local and seasonal food and drink.

More about the hosts & the Route-to-Zero Series
2022 is the inaugural partnership event from Greenleaf’s Route-to-Zero series. The world’s first Carbon Neutral Race day is accompanied by a Greentech Expo the day before and is the opening partnership event in a year-long campaign for Route-to-Zero as the event tours the UK.
The Route-to-Zero series are events designed to raise awareness for environmental issues, engagement with eco-friendly businesses & tech and funds for green initiatives.
Greenleaf TDG is an independent environmental sustainability certification body and technology company, specialising in tools that help people and businesses reduce their environmental impact. Chelmsford City Racecourse has been a family venue entertaining Essex and beyond for decades, not just with horseracing but with a variety of other events ranging from festivals to conferences.
In 2022 CCR stepped up their care for families, not just in Essex but worldwide, committing to become the first Carbon Zero Racecourse in the world. Through partnership with Greenleaf, a multimillion-pound plan is now underway to update the infrastructure and operations over the next 5 years to bring you Chelmsford City Racecourse trademark entertainment and hospitality with a world-leading sense of responsibility and stewardship for the planet.
